Description: “Rex Pacificus” is my “rock and roll,” medieval-modern Christmas carol. In the 1990s, when I first sang the 15th century Christmas carol “Nowell, sing we, both all and some,” I fell in love with the Middle English and Latin lyrics. One day, 25 years later, I got inspired to create my own rollicking setting of this poetic gem and gave it the title, “Rex Pacificus,” an ancient song for peace. Dedicated to my dear cousins Gigi and Raven.
